The Time Trials offer drivers the chance to follow in the tire tracks of racing legends in a modern-day coliseum of speed.

 

Charlotte Motor Speedway hosted its first NASCAR race in 1960.  During the subsequent six decades, stock car racing stars dueled on the 1.5-mile superspeedway’s 24-degree banked turns. Over the years, the iconic speedway continuously upgraded its facilities to become a truly world-class racing complex.

 

In 2018, the infield road course section was substantially modified. Combined with the oval’s high-banked turns,

the resulting 2.3-mile “Roval” is a challenging circuit for drivers and their cars.

Uniquely, the Roval features 35 feet of vertical elevation change within its road course section.

 

The Time Trials will be staged on the Roval with an added twist; a portion of the infield course will be modified to include additional turns that will further challenge the drivers’ skills and their Alfa’s agility. Experienced driving instructors will start the day with classroom instruction on how best to drive this challenging course.

A follow the leader session will be available for those who want on track instruction.

Time Trial participants will have generous sessions on track.

 

Parade lap sessions will be available for those who want to experience the high banks in a more relaxed fashion.​
